In February 2023, Radar took up residency at Kermandie, in the Port Huon Marina.
Built in 1947, Radar has been providing ferry services on the Sydney Harbour for many decades. She has been a a ferry for school children and more recently a private charter service with Rosman Cruises. Now at home in Port Huon, Radar is offering charters for weddings, corporate events and even large group transfers to Bruny Island.
Radar offers two levels for guests to enjoy the sights of Port Huon and the Huon River. With a liquor licence and catering capabilities, you can enjoy a stunning time celebrating your special occasion afloat on the Huon River. Radar has the capacity to accommodate up to 150 guests making her the perfect charter ferry for almost any occasion.
Executive Chef at Kermandie, Dave Nethery, can provide catering options that will tantalize your taste buds. Whether you are looking for delicious buffet lunches/dinners or sophisticated canapes, our team at Kermandie are looking forward to curating a menu that you will love (and so will your guests!).
Our generous beverage packages partner with our catering options, or you can even supply your own beverages (costs do apply for either option).
Whilst cruising along the Huon River you can also add your own musician to provide personalised entertainment to you and your guests. Imagine floating on the Huon River, your favourite beverage in hand, dining on exquisite dishes and being serenaded with live music – simply perfect!
